It's about to get BUSY!! We are looking for individuals to serve on committees, you do NOT have to be a member to the chamber to serve or assist in a community event, however, voting is reserved for paid members! So many have asked "are you going to do this again" and "what are you going to do in 2018" ----so here is our list of "plans" subject to be added
...to and adjusted to meet the community needs!
March/April - Breaking of the Dirt for our Bollinger County Community Garden - we are working with the City to find the perfect ground to make this happen for our community.
First Saturday in June - Bluegrass & BBQ Festival. We are working to increase the prize money and are looking for local and non-local Bluegrass Musicians.
May, June, July, & August - one Saturday a month we plan to have Food Trucks in Twin City Park and Live Music - which weekend still to be determined, we are trying to work with other communities to not overlap each other. The plans are to close the Park to traffic, have food trucks/vendors line the Park and allow area for kids and families to play.
September- we will once again participate in the Bollinger County Fall Festival Parade and help support the Bollinger County Fall Festival Board with their needs for the event.
November - Small Business Saturday 2018, we are looking for business members to serve on a committee for this event and give us feedback on what you would like to do to make this event even better.
December - First Saturday in December we will host Christmas in the Park! We will be looking for local talent to participate, vendors , and hoping to add Reindeer Games in for 2018. If you are interested in helping with this please let us know, planning begins in March.
December - date to be determined, Christmas on High Street - the community on High Street asked that we do it again and we said "of course" - we are hoping to add in a few more things next year, stay tuned.
Finally, on behalf of the Bollinger County Chamber of Commerce, I would like to say thank you to our community for all that you have supported this year, our community is absolutely AMAZING!
